Nothing wrong with rambling. Besides, this wasn’t so much rambling as working out what is going on and what you need to do. Hurray for finding that what you wrote is good. Of course it is. Trust yourself–yes!

I say work on both at once — when one stumps you, pull out the other, work on them like stair steps.

Write hot, edit cool. Can you flesh out some of the ideas in that rough, throw-all-the-crap-at-the-walls sort of way and go back to it later when you’re cooler? Just an idea.

Work on both of ‘em. Why not? If you need a break from BVA, then work on CT, get an outline you can stick with. Experiment with a new work method, see if it works better for you.

Noodle on it for a while. Let the boys (girls?) in the basement do their thing for a while and see what bubbles up.

I’m happy you found love in CT. You’ve been struggling for so long with BVA and it sets my teeth on edge to see you having such a rough time with it. Sounds like this switch is just what the doctor ordered. :)
