So what would you like to see?

I’ve been thinking way too much this week. Too much information in, very little getting out, gives me a headache (or makes the small one into a migraine). Makes it hard to focus on one thing at a time, hard to know what to blog about. I alight on a blossom, take a sip of nectar, and buzz on to the next.

Some of my half-finished topics are:

  • Jealousy
  • body image, and related to that, the next topic:
  • how “sexy” changes as you get older
  • internet friendships, how real they are and how fulfilling compared to physical ones
  • meditation, and how hard it is to just lie quietly
  • my “fatherless” progress, the topic that won’t lie quietly
  • podcasts, and why I’d rather just record myself in the shower and post that every day
  • why I’ve been putting so many words in “quotation marks.”

So anything grab your interest?

  1. I’d like to hear a shower podcast.

  2. The shower thingy has its merits, definitely. Definitely. On the other hand, I have a personal vested interest in the reality of Internet friendships rattling within right now. So that one too. :)

  3. Jealously sounds interesting, and so does meditation, since practically everyone I know is trying to find a way to get themselves motivated to start it. It’s a funny thing that way — it’s sort of the one thing that everybody doesnt’ want to do! But jealousy is interesting, too.

And OH! You mean you would actually DO a shower blogcast???? If that’s the case, then that’s my number one choice, too!

  4. Two words: Boobs.

  5. Well, they all sound interesting - I like the one about i-friendships. :D

I have a whole list of stuff in live writer drafts. When I get a bit tired of one topic, I can move on to a different one, or scrap it all together. It helps too when I think I have nothing to blog about, I have dozens of things in there to spark me.

    >:D<

  6. Men, listen carefully: The shower thing would not be on video. Hear me? NOT. A. VIDEO. (Those are for paying members only.)

Actually, I hadn’t considered actually recording myself in the shower, only discussing why it would make better posts if I could. That might be interesting, though, in a train wreck sorta way.

  7. I think I think (?) best in the shower–so I may understand the shower podcast idea. Yes? Anyway, they’re all topics with potential. I’m interested in those internet friendships, body image, and father issues.

    So many ideas…I sympathize.

  8. Paying members?

    *Digs around for credit card*

I’d read any of those topics - they all sound interesting. And for the record, I’m also in agreement with Dwight as far as being in favor of boobs. I like boobs.

  9. You say that so often, Ian, I’m wondering if it’s true. jk

Mapelba, that’s exactly it. It’s not the showering that is important, except in how it affects my thinking. And also, I have the most amazing conversations with myself in the shower. At least, I think they’re amazing. If I had a recording I might change my mind about that.

  10. Wow, those are heavy topics. I’m too busy for the next week to even think. My head gets tingly at top when I’m this busy. It’s the last week of school. Mom needs help at the doctor. Did I mention it’s the last week of school?

We’re going out of town at the end of the week.

    Sheesh!!!~~Dee
