Pre-con prep 2 -or- I think DH will miss me
Okay, people, it’s getting close. My pages are printed (the whole 3 chapters, after all), the laptop bag packed with enough pens to loan one to every conference goer, and business cards printed.
I took my last-minute trip to Wal-Mart yesterday evening, in which I spent my entire clothing budget for the year ($45) on two beautiful shirts and the perfect pair of brown wedge sandals. I splurged on a notebook that folds over like a spiral but holds notebook paper and folders, as well as a new billfold to fit nicely in the side pocket of the laptop bag.
I’m taking my camera, so I may post some pictures if I get the chance to blog over the weekend. Not making any promises.
I had a moment of panic when I couldn’t find my agent’s phone number to include in my contact information. We have communicated almost exclusively by email, no surprise I lost it. I dashed off an email asking for it. She replied that evening, pointing out that her address and phone number are in her email signature, of which I have a dozen copies. Oops.
The hubby has been having a bit of a personal crisis, faced with my 3-day absence. A few days ago he turned inexplicably surly, but softened yesterday. When I got up this morning my t-shirt was on wrong-side-out, if that tells you anything. (TMI, Riah? lol)
I head up to the City tonight. Let me think, what do I have to do today? Hmmm…Only pack EVERYTHING!

I look forward to the con report when you return to civilisation
Have a great time - I’m pulling for a successful pitch!

Have a great time, Sherri! Look forward to hearing about it.
Definitely sounds like pre-travel chaos. But you’ll get there! I look forward to hear how it goes.
